OSSTF World Pride parade and booth

OSSTF/FEESO will have an Information Booth in the WorldPride Street Fair and a float in the WorldPride Parade. There will be music, OSSTF/FEESO Pride T-shirts for marchers and swag to hand out along the parade route. We encourage districts and members to attend this important festival and end your visit by marching with OSSTF/FEESO in the parade.

As a follow-up to DBU #169 and DBU #177, please note the following details:

OSSTF/FEESO has received our permits for the Information Booth and WorldPride Parade Float which give us our booth location and marching order in the parade. Our permits are:

 Information Booth number is G26, located on Isabella Street for June 28 and 29 only

 Marching Permit number is 33C for June 29 Pride Parade starting at 1:00 p.m.

If you are planning to march in the parade with OSSTF/FEESO, please sign in and pick up a T-shirt at the OSSTF/FEESO booth (G26) on Isabella Street between Yonge St and Church St on Sunday, June 29 from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. After you have a T-shirt, make your way to the parade marshalling area at Bloor and Ted Rogers Way. Please arrive between 12:00 noon and 12:45 p.m. and look for position 33C. This is a relatively early position in the parade and we should be scheduled to start marching fairly soon after the 1:00 p.m. parade start. The maximum limit for our contingent is 100 people.

If you have scheduled a shift at the OSSTF/FEESO Information Booth, please arrive a minimum of 5 minutes before your assigned duty in order to ensure a smooth transition between volunteers.

Participation in WorldPride is voluntary; therefore, we will not be accepting expense vouchers for member expenses.

For more information or to confirm that you are marching with OSSTF/FEESO, please contact Wayne Milliner at wayne.milliner@osstf.ca.
